Nicholas Ng

Co-Founder and Instructor

Nicholas Ng is a dedicated high school student with a strong passion for mathematics, computer science, and teaching. Since Grade 4, he has actively participated in national and international math contests, earning distinctions in competitions such as the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC), Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests (CSMC/CIMC), and the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC).

In addition to his accomplishments in mathematics, Nicholas has developed a deep interest in computer science—particularly in programming and cybersecurity. He enjoys solving algorithmic challenges and exploring how systems work behind the scenes, whether it’s writing code, understanding networks, or learning about data protection.

Nicholas co-founded Rising Stars Math Camp with the goal of inspiring younger students to build confidence, creativity, and a love for problem-solving. As an instructor and curriculum developer, he designs lessons that are both challenging and fun, helping students strengthen their math and coding foundations while developing a growth mindset.

Outside the classroom, Nicholas is an avid sports fan and athlete. He plays both baseball and basketball, and enjoys watching major sports events in his free time. He’s also passionate about weather forecasting and urban transportation systems, often spending his spare time exploring how cities move and how climate data can be analyzed.

Nicholas brings a well-rounded perspective to the camp—combining academic excellence, technical skills, and genuine enthusiasm for learning. He’s excited to share his knowledge and encourage the next generation of rising stars to discover the joy of math, science, and beyond.
