Target Age
Rising Stars Math Camp is designed for middle students, typically ranging from grades 5 to 8, who have an interest in math, problem solving, and computer science.
Skill Level
Our camp caters to students with varying levels of experience, from beginners to more advanced participants. Whether students are new to math contests or have been competing for years, our camp offers personalized support to help each individual reach their full potential.
Camp Schedule
Our camp runs during the summer and spans three weeks. It typically allows students to learn valuable skills without taking up their entire summer.
Activities and Curriculum
We provide multiple different activities throughout the course of the camp:
Interactive Workshops: Tailored lessons on advanced topics in mathematics, such as algebra, geometry, number theory, and discrete math, as well as introductory to intermediate-level computer science concepts and algorithms, to prepare for coding competitions like the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC).
Team Problem-Solving: Students will collaborate on challenging problems, and practice teamwork and communication skills. They will also work on math and computer science problems that have real-world applications.
Mock Contests: Realistic contest simulations to help students prepare for the pressure and format of actual competitions, with feedback provided by the instructors after each mock contest.
Goal
Our goal is to inspire students to embrace challenges and develop both their technical abilities and soft skills, preparing them for success in future competitions, academics, and beyond. By the end of the camp, students will not only improve their problem-solving skills but also gain the confidence to approach complex challenges with creativity and collaboration.
